Part dog, part fox, but mostly badger, Ray lived a curious life as a door person to a small, small motel in an alley right near city hall. The clientele were mostly rats and the occasional vole. Often he would be required to watch for pedestrians and to hail coachman usually driven by pigeons or galls. They would give him tips that were handfuls of grain like oats or dried corn. On more fruitful days he would receive small bottles of rare mushroom tonic.
