Travis Louie
, Stan With His Wrestling Mask, acrylic on board, 14 x 11"

In the 1950's, when Stan was living in the space near the washroom, he overhead the sounds of wrestling matches on television. He would sneak into people's rooms and watch the combatants throw and leap on each other. It was very exciting for him. He became such a big fan, he made his own wrestling mask and would wear it during broadcasts.
